You will need your computer (of course!), a graphics program...('I've already go that too' I hear you say), and possibly a scanner for getting your older photos onto CD or your computer, or maybe you have a digital camera (download pics direct to your computer).
A pinch of creativity!!
There are now a lot of digital scrapbooking sites on the web. Most require you to become a member and this will allow you access to
rescources. There are also more and more Pay To Use Kits out there
being handled by the licencing agencys. (anyway to take your hard earned $$'s!). The scrapbooking sites also give you the opportunity to browse the
galleries and get some ideas too!
N.B. Most of the downloads for 'normal' scrapbooking which taggers
can also use, are huge in their file size. So before downloading supplies, make sure you don't have download limits on your internet account. For that reason all the kits on this site are designed specifically with Taggers in mind and are a lot smaller in size.
The reasons being that they are a very high resolution to allow for crisp printouts of your finished pages if you are going to make albums etc.
For Tagging the resolution doesn't need to be as high. I have found that if you set your resolution on 600dpi, or higher, when you create your new tag, you should still be able to print it out quite well.
Most of the sites require you to also add copyright information as to the source of the kits. I just ask you add Scrapkit by Mystikal Scrapbook Memories if you use my work.....simply
out of respect to the hours it takes to create each kit. I offer it freely so I don't think its too much to ask.
HOW DO I MAKE A PAGE?
The following is an outline of the steps needed to create a basic digital layout (tag) from scratch.
The steps defined below describe each process, but don't show specific keystrokes as the tutorial isn't software specific.
Create a New Image/File at 600dpi
I prefer to use either 500x500 or 500x625 but the size you use is your decision according to how big you want your tag. Some forums do have file size limits so that will also determine your size.
Open your photos, pictures, embelishments, papers etc that you want to use.
Create (or Open premade) Background Paper to complement photos
Create (or Open premade) Photo Mats or Frames
Make your tag using seperate layers for each item
(This way you can move things around easily till your happy with it all)
